Trapped 侷住 (The Best Human Right Book of 2016)

In 2012, one series of photos shed direct light on the housing problems in Hong Kong. They were taken from a bird’s eye view and showed sub-divided units, which drew local and international attention. In 2016, society for Community Organization (SoCO) are working with photographer Benny Lam again to jointly organize a “Living Under Constraint” photo exhibition. Over 50 new photos are included, in a sequence of six series, all showing life in size from 15 to 100 square feet “flats”.

Prix Pictet Space

A book based on the theme of the seventh cycle of the Prix Pictet (The global award in photography and sustainability), featuring the work of the award’s shortlisted photographers as well as other nominees, it’s a chronicle of some of the most critical problems facing modern society – and a celebration of the thought-provoking photographs made by artists who have the courage to confront such issues through their works. The 12 Prix Pictet Space finalists include Benny Lam, and his works were catalogued and selected as the book cover.
